Jackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to be exclusively partnering with Venator, based in Wynyard, on the appointment of a Purchasing Operations Buyer to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.
Venator is a leading global chemical company, with headquarters in Wynyard, Billingham, dedicated to the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives.
This is a transactional purchasing role supporting the Venator Greatham site and managing spend up to the value of $10,000. Spend can vary across services, goods, packaging, and logistics.

The Role:
1. Create and manage 6,000 Purchase Orders per annum, covering the procure-to-pay process from validated demand, typically an approved Purchase Requisition, through to invoice approval.
2. Validating the vendor/new vendor creation.
3. Creating purchase orders.
4. Obtaining order confirmations from vendors.
5. Resolving any purchasing invoice queries including vendor master data and price mismatches.
6. Running SAP Requests for Quotation.
7. Selecting vendors.
8. Negotiating price and payment terms.
9. Execute site-specific purchasing projects as required.
The Person / Specification:
1. Experience in a purchasing/procurement related role.
2. SAP systems experience desirable but not essential.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Capable of resolving problems.
5. Good attention to detail.
This is an urgent requirement with interviews to take place ASAP and a January or February 2025 start date available.
