Are you a passionate Religious Studies Teacher ready to inspire the next generation? We are seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable PRE (Philosophy, Religion & Ethics) teacher who can bring depth and authenticity to our curriculum.
Join our team at Avanti Fields and make a profound difference in the lives of our students. In this role, you will deliver captivating KS4 Religious Studies lessons that promote critical thinking, ethical inquiry, and an enriched understanding of diverse worldviews.
At KS3, you will also bring our bespoke Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) curriculum to life.

• Have an active personal practice within the Hindu faith
• Possess a deep understanding of Hindu philosophy and can communicate its richness and diversity
• Can guide students in exploring life’s profound questions through a wide range of philosophical and religious perspectives

What will you do?
• Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behaviour, and promote student well-being.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
What are we looking for?
• Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
• QTS Qualified or willing to work towards QTS
• Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
• Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students

What the school offers its staff
Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022.
