We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and organised Family Liaison Officer (FLO) to work alongside our children and families to provide early intervention, support and guidance in order to develop home/school partnerships and promote positive attitudes towards school and education.
The successful candidate will have relevant knowledge, skills and experience together with a warm and engaging personality and the confidence and ability to motivate and quickly gain the respect of others. As a FLO, you will have a strong belief in inclusion and the right for each child to be successful, a sound understanding of safeguarding and experience in multi-agency working.
The vacancy is for 37 hours per week (8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 3.30pm Fridays), 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days). The pay scale is Kent Range 6 at £25,127 per annum for a full-time position, which equates to approximately £21,804 per annum pro rata for this role.
We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above are essential. Verification of qualifications will be required before employment can commence so do not declare any qualifications unless you can produce the original certificate.
A formal interview will take place with a panel comprising of two members of the Senior Leadership Team and will last approximately thirty minutes. There will also be an in-tray exercise lasting a further thirty minutes.
