Nurse Manager £60,000 per annum Full-time (9-5 Monday to Friday) Lisburn We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our team at a well-established private nursing home. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall management of the home, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing nursing teams, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional care for residents with a range of needs, including older adults and individuals with physical disabilities. The Home This private nursing home is a purpose-built facility offering specialised services for a maximum of 48 residents. We provide care for older people and individuals with physical disabilities, including those requiring palliative care, stroke recovery, and more. With a focus on dignity, independence, and person-centred care, we strive to deliver an exceptional standard of care within a warm and welcoming environment. The Role As Nursing Manager, you will: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and other regulatory bodies. Lead and mentor the care team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure continuous professional development and high performance. Develop and review personalised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met and their independence is maximised. Ensure that all admissions, assessments, and documentation are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment in line with health and safety regulations. Oversee the administration of medications, ensuring proper protocols are followed and compliance with regulatory standards. Handle concerns and complaints from residents and families, addressing issues promptly and professionally. Liaise with external healthcare professionals, including GPs, consultants, and social services, to ensure coordinated care for residents. Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, retention, and development of staff. Maintain financial oversight of the homes budget, ensuring resources are effectively managed. About You To be successful in this role, you will need: A Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin. Proven experience in managing a nursing home. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Expertise in person-centred care planning and safeguarding practices. Experience in managing the care of residents with diverse medical needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, and palliative care. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with residents, families, staff, and external professionals. Strong financial management skills and experience with budget management. Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance requirements.
