Role: Deputy Manager (Adventure Children’s Home)
Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire
Salary: Up to £38,000 per Anum
Type of role: Full time and permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5
We are looking to hire an experienced Deputy Manager to join a dedicated and highly valued Team that deliver short term, therapeutic intervention and trauma support for 7- to 18-year-olds.
Role of Deputy Manager
* To assist the Home Manager in line management of all care staff within the home.
* To provide a supportive, nurturing delivery of residential childcare in accordance with policies & procedures.
* To lead by example and maintain good professional practices in accordance with the minimum standards for children’s homes.
* To be held accountable for the safety and wellbeing of our young people, whilst on shift with them.
* To help create a supportive and positive environment for each young person in reference to their safety, health and education.
* To contribute towards completion of twelve-week assessments of our young people and working closely with the clinical team.
* To demonstrate experience in and a passion for the outdoors and the positive impact that this can have on young people.
* To ensure that the safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made, and this is also displayed in practice throughout the teams.
* To ensure the home and resources, including the staff, are adequate to meet the needs of the young people placed, whilst seeking the views of the placing authorities and person with parental responsibility.
* Skills A minimum of 12 months supervisory/team leader/managerial experience within care (including management of staff rotas).
* A minimum of two years’ experience in children’s residential care.
* You will hold a level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (or an accepted equivalent)

Essential Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years in children's residential care
* 12 months in a senior/supervisory/team leader role.
* Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential child care
* Full UK driving license
* Ideally will hold activity credit such as ML, MIAS, Lowland Leader, RCI, Caving/Mining or any water sports
