What the day will look like
As a Project Coordinator, expect your days to be busy and varied. We have a governance model that enables us to become involved with Projects from idea through to implementation and as such you may be assigned to multiple projects at varying stages of their lifecycle. This role involves working closely with project managers, portfolio directors, PMO team, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication, and track project progress. Key tasks you may typically be responsible for are, but not limited to:
Project Governance:
* Provide a structured project/programme management approach aligned to Aon methodology
* Support central PMO team in delivering improvements to the governance processes
* Ensure that the projects/programmes have the necessary artefacts to move forward through the project lifecycle via stage gate checks and health checks.
Project Planning and Scheduling:
* Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
* Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
Communication and Coordination:
* Serve as a point of contact for project/programme teams and stakeholders.
* Facilitate communication and collaboration among project/programme team members.
* Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
* Ensure teams have clear understanding of processes and tools related to project initiation, delivery and project closure, and provide support and guidance where needed
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and system updates.
* Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
* Support the programme / project managers in preparing regular project status reports
* Support the programme / project managers in preparing for stage gate reviews

Skills and experience that will lead to success
We are looking for colleagues that have:
* Broad all-round lead PMO and project / programme delivery experience
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects; coordinating meetings, preparing presentations and managing logistics, while producing clear and easy-to-navigate project artifact and information repositories
* Excellent communication skills who can build strong working relationships at a variety of levels across our business enabling healthy negotiation where influencing skills can be drawn upon whilst adapting style, content and level of detail appropriately.
* Critical thinking and ability to investigate, interpret, and understand complex business problems, articulating clear activities which result in desired solutions
* Technical competence, knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
* Adaptable and able to communicate openly, honestly and independently with stakeholders to understand their business goals and processes.
