We’re looking for an experienced Content Writer to join our passionate and expanding digital team.
As a content writer, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing and editing SEO optimized content for website and digital projects including writing landing page and blog post content about industry-related topics for both our company and our clients. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business. You will be responsible for carrying out keyword research and implementing these into the content to gain maximum exposure in SERPs. You are expected to work simultaneously with the digital team to maintain consistency with web project deliverability. You will be a confident communicator capable of working with a range of customers and colleagues.
Full-time
Hybrid (Minimum of 2 days a week at our Retford location)
Salary: £25,000-£35,000, dependent on experience
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
1. Researching and writing content for a range of web and digital projects with a focus on SEO
2. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
3. Writing effective and engaging content that is tailored to each project/client
4. Working with the digital team to gain an understanding of any goals/targets and developing content strategies accordingly
5. Optimizing SEO driven content and increasing site traffic (on-page and via Yoast)
6. Measuring and monitoring website performance and traffic to highlight action points and upsell opportunities
7. Ensuring that the content is compliant with the copyright and data protection laws
8. Maintaining consistency and ensuring content aligns with each brand
9. Identifying customers' needs and writing content to cater for their requirements
10. Conducting research on key SEO search terms and incorporating them into the content to achieve maximum performance
11. Researching industry-related topics
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
1. Experience as a content creator in prior roles, creating strong and engaging content
2. Understanding of SEO best practices
3. Prior job experience in web traffic metrics, HTML and web publishing
4. Proficiency with content management systems and analytics software (WordPress, Google Analytics etc)
5. Excellent writing, proofreading and communication skills
6. Detail-oriented work with good time management and organisational skills
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced agency
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
9. Ability to work efficiently maintaining high quality and accuracy
10. Goal-oriented and customer-oriented
11. Multi-project management skills, adhering to timelines and performing under pressure to achieve the targets
12. Good attention to detail along with a creative mind
13. Excellent team working skills to collaborate with various team members and work in alignment with them
14. Ability to maintain consistency in their content writing
15. Have an understanding of UI/UX design
