An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Services teams as an Administrator for an individual who is keen to develop their skills. We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join one of the Barnet Core Community MH Teams, supporting people with Mental Health issues over 18 years of age and within the Barnet catchment areas and provides specialist assessment and pharmacological treatment. Your duties will include supporting patients and their relatives who are under the community mental health teams as well as providing comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, support workers and other professionals involved in patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient and professional service ensuring quality service to all users, their families and professionals contacting the teams. The post holder will also be required to cover other services within Springwell Centre to provide support during absence of other administrators.
The perfect candidate will have a flexible approach in providing administration support to the multi-disciplinary teams working with a client group with mental health problems. There will be client and carer telephone contact and face-to-face contact on a daily basis; therefore, good communication skills are essential. You should have good organisational skills and experience of dealing with members of the public. You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to use your own initiative.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust, you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. Job responsibilities
Duties you will be responsible for include:
* Ensuring the smooth and safe management of our patient care.
* Attending meetings, taking team minutes, editing, and issuing reports.
* Maintaining effective filing systems and decanting service user notes in line with Medical Records policy and procedure.
* Scanning and uploading paperwork on the electronic system.
* Providing a high-quality administrative, clerical, and reception service for patients and their carers who access the Trust services.
* Regular telephone liaison with external agencies.
* Using your initiative in all aspects of secretarial and clerical work to efficiently prioritise work and meet deadlines, as the service requires.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Registrations
* NVQ Level 3 / AS and A level or equivalent relevant practical experience / qualifications.
* NHS experience.
* NHS Mental Health experience.
Skills / Abilities
* Good knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
* Keyboard skills to ensure accuracy, speed, and optimum use of functions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Works without supervision (advice available from Line Manager when required).
* Team working and interpersonal skills.
* Minute-taking skills.
* Good knowledge and proficiency of Trust systems to include RIO and other digital systems.
* Ability to use own initiative and deal with ad hoc requests and queries.
Experience / Knowledge
* Full range of administrative procedures and software programs.
