YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & ENGAGEMENT LECTURER
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Development & Engagement Lecturer to join our West Lancashire College team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and support in the subject area of youth development, focusing on engagement strategies, leadership, and social development.
The role involves creating an engaging curriculum that enables learners to develop their resilience, confidence and behaviours to enable them to progress onto a mainstream vocational programme at West Lancashire College.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Learning:
1. Deliver teaching and learning sessions including practical workshops on various topics related to youth development, engagement and work skills.
2. Develop and update course materials and resources to ensure they are current, relevant and aligned with curriculum quality standards.
3. Use a range of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, ensuring that students are actively engaged and motivated.
4. Assess student progress through a range of assessment methods, providing constructive feedback and support.
Student Support and Mentorship:
1. Offer academic guidance and pastoral support to students, helping them to set personal and professional goals.
2. Provide mentorship to students.
3. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that promotes personal and academic growth.
