We're looking for a Operations Director to join our Natural Resources team, to support and lead a diverse and growing portfolio within our Water business unit. Location : Working from home and site/offices as and when required across the midlands and the south Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know Responsibilities We're seeking an Operations Director to lead our dynamic water business as we grow from a current £120m FY24 to approximately £200m by FY26. This is your opportunity to shape and execute the strategic vision, drive growth, and ensure outstanding results across our frameworks and contracts. Your portfolio contracts will include Thames Water and Anglian Water. We specialise in delivering complex civil engineering and capital projects. If you're ready to make a significant impact and lead in a thriving, innovative environment, we want to hear from you Your day to day will include: Ensuring the activities of the Business Unit are identified and appropriate standards are implemented to comply with the requirements of legislation, regulation and needs of the business. Promoting a culture where technical excellence is at the heart of everything the BU delivers. Ensuring contracts deliver/exceeds the budgets/QR forecasts for profit, cash, revenue, overheads. Leading, managing and motivating staff and operatives to ensure their contribution is maximised to the organisation. Bringing strategic level experience and stakeholder relationships to enable both group and divisional targets to be exceeded. What are we looking for? This Operations Director is great for you if you have: Ability to demonstrate experience of leading large, complex infrastructure projects. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Capability to establish high performing teams with appropriate skills, and to recruit, train, retain. Proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management principles, and construction practices.
