You will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of the Geography curriculum across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11). Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Learning: Teach a full timetable of engaging and stimulating Geography lessons, demonstrating strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential. Employ effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform future teaching. External Relations: Maintain strong links with external geographical societies and organizations to enrich the curriculum and provide students with wider learning opportunities. Develop and manage the department’s resources budget effectively. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Geography teacher with a minimum of 5 years’ successful teaching experience, including significant leadership experience. A proven track record of raising standards in Geography and a demonstrable passion for the subject. Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to staying abreast of current trends and developments in Geography education. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
