Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per year
Are you an experienced Senior .Net Developer with a passion for driving technical transformation and mentoring teams? We’re looking for a talented Senior .Net Engineer to join an exciting and innovative SaaS company as part of a major migration project. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming their existing monolith application into a modern microservices-based architecture, hosted on Azure, as well as delivering on several new product builds.
About the Role:
As Senior Software Engineer, you will act as lead engineer on projects, leading a small team of 3 developers. You’ll be deeply involved in the development of key features, new products and modernisation of our current product estate.
Key responsibilities:
* Delivering Code: You’ll be hands-on with coding, focusing on sprints to deliver high-quality software, working with technologies including React, .NET 8, SQL Server and Azure.
* Mentoring & Coaching: Leading by example, you’ll mentor and coach engineers across the team, providing technical guidance and sharing best practices to help them develop and grow.
* Stakeholder Management: You’ll engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines, managing expectations and providing technical insights.
* Migration & Architecture: Leading the migration of the existing monolith application into a microservice-based architecture hosted on Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security are at the forefront.
* Collaboration: Working closely with other senior leaders and teams to execute the company’s four-year roadmap of greenfield projects, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
* Experience Migrating Monolith to Microservices: You must have proven experience in migrating legacy applications to modern microservice architectures, ideally using .NET 8.
* SaaS Experience: Previous experience building or scaling SaaS products is essential.
* Leadership & Mentoring: You should have led a team of engineers before, providing mentorship, technical leadership, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
* Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, and QA engineers, is a must.
