Site Manager - Passive Fire Protection
Daniel Owen is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to oversee and manage fire safety projects within the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected company that specializes in delivering high-quality health, safety, and environmental solutions across various refurbishment & new build projects including Commercial, Education, Listed Buildings, and Healthcare.

Position: Site Manager - Passive Fire Protection
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum + van & fuel card + Package
Contract Type: Permanent
Availability: This role is immediately available
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of passive fire protection projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations.
3. Team Leadership: Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing clear direction and ensuring productivity.
4. Quality Control: Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks to verify that all fire stopping, compartmentation, and fire door installations meet the required standards.
5. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, reporting on project progress and resolving any issues that may arise.
6. Health & Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe working practices.
7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety documentation, and compliance checklists.
Candidate Requirements:
1. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
2. FIRAS or equivalent third-party accreditation (desirable).
3. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Passive Fire Protection (desirable).
4. Proven experience as a Site Manager within the passive fire protection sector.
5. Strong understanding of fire stopping, fire compartmentation, and fire door installation.
6. Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
7. Up-to-date understanding of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and industry standards.
8. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
9. Full UK driving license required.
