Job Vacancy: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Totnes, Devon.
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £100 - £110 per day
Start Date: January 2025
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant team in Totnes. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to students' academic achievements while supporting the classroom teacher and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
* Provide high-quality support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
* Lead small group interventions and support individual students to enhance their learning.
* Work closely with students to support their academic and emotional development.
* Assist with classroom management and help create an inclusive, engaging atmosphere.
* Supervise students during break times, and provide pastoral care when required.
* Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
Skills & Qualities We're Seeking:
* Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Have proven experience working in a school or educational setting (preferably in a similar role).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students and staff.
* A proactive, flexible approach with excellent classroom management skills.
* Passionate about education and supporting students’ development.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
