Development Chemist (9 Month, Maternity Cover)
Metrohm UK, are seeking a Development Chemist to join our method development laboratory in Daresbury, near Runcorn, in Cheshire.
The role is a temporary (maternity cover) position for nine months, ready for immediate start.

Applicant Profile
* The role is available for immediate start, so no/or a short notice period is preferred
* A recent graduate looking to build skills and experience or someone from a lab background looking to improve their skill sets.
* A degree in chemistry (or a closely related disciplines) is essential.
* It is not essential to have any practical knowledge of Metrohm equipment, this full training will be provided
* Ideal candidates will have good troubleshooting skills, will be able to organise & prioritise multiple tasks, have strong communication skills and will be methodical & trustworthy.
Role
* Reporting to the UK Laboratory Manager.
* Developing analytical chemistry applications for Metrohm UK customers, based on auto titration, Karl Fischer and ion chromatography (IC).
* Maintaining laboratory operations including preparation of stock/calibration solutions, tracking of equipment in the field, cleaning, preparing glassware for subsequent applications & assisting to maintain an active laboratory.
Package
* Equivalent salary of £22,000-£27,000 dependant on experience
* Nine month contract
* Full training provided on all techniques
