JOB TITLE: Paediatric Senior Physiotherapist. Location: Sano Physiotherapy Ltd. Reports to: Regional Operations Manager. Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience). Hours: Full time role. 2. JOB PURPOSE Clinically lead and have overall accountability for the Companies Paediatric Service offering. Own and manage all provider relationships and communications relevant to service delivery. Ensure the highest standard of Physiotherapy care are delivered, through continued audit and service improvement. Deliver high quality training to peers and colleagues relevant to Sanos Paediatric Services. Provide leadership for clinical Physiotherapy staff, through participation in CPD by developing colleagues skills and knowledge through participation in Sanos internal CPD scheme. 3. Sano Physiotherapy Ltd. Director of Clinical Services. Follow the standards of practice for Physiotherapy and ensure that minimum requirements are met (CSP, Health Board, departmental and service specific). Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of specific national policies/ legislation/ guidelines pertinent to the role. Oversee the training and education of other physiotherapy staff within the company and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced CPD and weekly CR sessions relevant to Paediatric services. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working within the ethical framework provided by the CSP/HCPC rules of professional conduct. To undertake evidence-based audit and research projects and make recommendations to clinical director for changes to practice. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols. To assist in the delivery and development of safeguarding training, specifically to develop understanding of the fundamentals of safeguarding children and confidently recognising and responding appropriately to suspected abuse. To assist in the monthly reporting of KPIs, demonstrating performance in line with contractual requirements. To assist with the training of G.Ps, Consultants or other referring parties where appropriate in keeping with the agreed service contract. Communicate complex sensitive information in an understandable form to patients and carers where the skills of motivation, persuasion, empathy and re-assurance are required. 4. Person Specification Essential: Completion of an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Health Professionals Council (HCPC). Minimum of 2 years Paediatric Physiotherapy experience. Demonstrable experience working in a MSK Paediatric Physiotherapy role. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) The post holder will hold a full, clean driving licence. Desirable: Member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (ACPC) Primary Duties and Areas of responsibility 5. Clinical Practice Be responsible for the clinical triaging of all referrals received into the service. Be clinically competent to provide advice and treatment to patients with diverse healthcare needs. Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care. Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing physical deficits. Work with clients to identify physiotherapy goals as part of the overall care plan. Plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the client/family/carer to achieve therapeutic goals. Monitor and evaluate treatment using recognised outcome measures in order to determine, progress and ensure effectiveness of the intervention and record outcomes for all clients on caseload. Respect the individuality, values, and cultural and religious diversity of clients and contribute to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs. Maintain and develop current knowledge of evidence-based practice, developing specialist knowledge of particular conditions and patient types. Make judgements involving highly complex facts/ situations requiring in depth analysis/ interpretation and comparisons of a wide range of therapeutic options in order to decide on the best course of intervention and accurate prognosis and comprehensive case management plans. To take an active role in Sano Physiotherapy Ltd clinical governance group in assessing competencies and advising of any changes to practice or treatment guidelines. 6. Research To use research findings to inform practice. Undertake the measurement and evaluation of work and current practices as required through the use of evidence-based practice projects, audit and outcome measures, either individually or with other physiotherapists. 7. OTHER To comply with professional codes of practice and business policies, procedures and guidelines, including health and safety requirements. To comply with data protection regulations and responsibilities in line with current legislation, GDPR and internal data protection policies. Undertake other duties at a comparable level of responsibility, as may normally be agreed with the job holder. To act as an investigating manager in assisting the Operations team in the management of any complaints related to the Paediatric Physiotherapy service. Liaising with the CCG in communicating any changes in pathways or initiatives. To recognise and oversee any safeguarding concerns within the Paediatric service (including nonattendance at agreed appointment) and escalating cases where appropriate to the designated safeguarding lead. 8. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS a) The post holder will be required to travel between different clinics in the region. b) Subject to the prior agreement of the Managing Director, you may engage in other forms of physiotherapy practise, however such work must not diminish the level of service expected from you by Sano Physiotherapy Ltd in carrying out your duties.
