We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join our Southern Motor Fulfilment team, on a full-time and permanent basis.
The role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be accountable for leading, inspiring and developing high performing people and suppliers, across your designated geographical area (South). You will focus on delivery of business objectives through performance management, problem solving, coaching and feedback. Driving efficiencies to meet the needs of our customers whilst adhering to risk and compliance framework.
What you will be doing:
* Leading a diverse team of motor engineers, to deliver great customer outcomes at the right cost for customers following a motor accident.
* Building strong relationships to drive the motor repair supply chain to hit contractual and non-contractual performance expectations covering customer, cost, and compliance measures.
* Actively identify and pursue performance improvement opportunities and drive these opportunities both within your team and across Direct Line Group.
* Role model DLG values and behaviours for your team, actively supporting them with their own personal development.
* Driving performance against key metrics that demonstrate DLG are delivering great outcomes to customers.
* Ensuring the best use of resource to meet customer demands and achieve our business SLA's.
* Driving your team to achieve key repair cost targets across different networks to support business financial performance.
* Controlling and managing the operational costs.
* Identifying, owning and managing the risks involved in running our business appropriate to your role, interacting with the appropriate internal and external contacts. Ensuring opportunities and threats are managed proactively and in line with the Group Risk Framework minimum standards.
* Creating an environment that brings out the best in your team, ensuring our values are still at the heart of how we work, both individually and as a business and we achieve excellent results in the right way.
* Developing the full potential of our people through regular engagement, coaching and feedback, which can be virtually and field based.
What we are looking for:
* Experience leading and developing high performing teams.
* Experience in the automotive industry and good knowledge of vehicle repair techniques is useful but not essential for the role. Management of Field Force teams or operating in a Hybrid Working environment is useful.
Hours: 35 hours (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm)
