Job Title: Clinical Assistant
Hours: 36hrs per week. Monday- Sunday as per local rota, varying shift pattern.
Location: North Solihull
Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres to support this vision. We are delighted to announce a new Community Diagnostic Centre in North Solihull in March 2025, and are actively recruiting now to build a passionate and dedicated team to support this nationwide programme to enhance the availability of healthcare in the community.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Assistant supporting the Radiography department, your core role is to ensure our patients receive the best standard of care from arrival through to departure. The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the working day by welcoming patients into the clinical area and preparing them for their scan. You will also be required to complete some administrative tasks within the department, however, this role will mostly be patient-facing.
1. Welcoming patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departure
2. Escorting patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionally
3. Completing the patient's pre-scan data protection/consent form and health and safety questionnaire (where applicable)
4. Assessing and monitoring the patient's condition after the procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediately
5. Accurately entering all relevant patient data into the patient management system
6. Managing administrative tasks within the department as required.
7. Working on the reception desk, professionally welcoming patients into the Centre
