Role: Engineering Manager – Monday to Friday
Salary: £65,000 - £71,000

Our client stands as one of the UKs leading manufacturing businesses within its industry, with a widespread network and multiple sites across the U.K. They take pride in supplying bespoke products to the construction industry
With yet more ambitious growth targets for this financial year the company have purchased additional machinery to expand their production capacity yet further. This is alongside other continuous improvement projects across their site. Our client has an increase of 35% in its order book this year.
The Role
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for two key areas within the business. Firstly, it will be to oversee the various. This will include managing timescales, allocating engineers, arranging of external contractors, and managing budget - projects and continuous Improvement projects.
Secondly, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing all maintenance functions across the site including both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. With 12 plus engineers available. It would be the Engineering Manager to work with the supervisors to delegate work to each engineer depending on the nature of the fault (electrical or mechanical), urgency of problem and availability of engineers.
Alongside the above there would also be various responsibilities this will include the planning and co-ordination of installations, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment as per Production requirements, and the management of continuous improvement projects. Responsible for the management of the Stores area
Oversee the absence management process.
Effectively plan overtime, whilst working within the Working Time Directive
Produce and maintain Maintenance KPIs.
Ensure Plant shutdowns are planned, resourced, and evaluated with labour and spares requirements.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
Must have previous experience working at Engineering Manager
Must have previous experience of managing a maintenance function.
Engineering qualification Electrical or mechanical
