We offer flexible opportunities from zero hour bank contracts or permanent contracts from 12 to 36 hours per week contracts, with the aim of balancing the needs of our service user with yours.
We support this person seven days a week with shifts allocated on a rota’ d basis.
We are looking to recruit some final members of their team to work both days and waking & sleeping nights. In order to build a relationship with our service user, we have found that working one or two shifts a week is essential in building and maintaining a rapport.
The service user we support has a learning disability and Autism with a pervasive drive for autonomy, so her team need to be skilled communicators who help her manage her epilepsy and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome on both the busy days and the quieter ones. Sometimes she will experience episodes of distress and her team need to help her feel and stay safe with a physical intervention.
This process of intervention can be physically demanding and so we encourage any applicant who may find this physically, emotionally or psychologically challenging to contact us prior to application to provide some insight and ensure this is the post for you.
We don't think experience is necessary but the right attitude and the willingness to learn is.
We will pay for a DBS check and are looking for a quick start, so what do you have to lose?
A driving licence and a willingness to drive a Motability vehicle are essential.
