ROLE – Chemical Process Engineer SALARY - £40,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)TYPE – PermanentLOCATION – West Berkshire My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.The Chemical Process Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in chemical process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processesA degree (BEng, MEng, MSc, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or a related fieldStrong Project Management skillsStrong knowledge of process design, scale-up, and optimizationProficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD)Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., COMAH, HSE)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent leadership skills, and ideally some people management experienceOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesBe able to work well individually as well as part of a teamResponsibilities include:Leading the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processesSolving problems and improving engineering processesConducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and existing projectsOverseeing the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costsManaging and mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional developmentCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams including R&D, production, and quality assurancePreparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersPushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
