We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our wider Accounts Payable and Finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.
In this role you will support our Accounts Payable Team Leader on a day to day basis with invoicing, matching and raising purchase orders, supplier payments, queries and cheque administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with great administration skills and has the confidence to support our internal colleagues and external suppliers.
What will my role entail?
* Accurately input all supplier invoices into our Oracle Financials system
* Act as Accounts Payable main point of contact for investigating and resolving supplier and colleague queries.
* Maintain and run the weekly Accounts Payable BACS payment process and invoice holds report.
* Create new suppliers on the Accounts Payable system in line with our new supplier process.
* Act as the Finance representative for cheque referrals, manage the cheque register and ensure these are sent out in a timely manner.
* Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable mailbox
We'd love you to bring:
* Great administration and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Pro-active, self-motivated, and be able to work on your own initiative.
* Experience working within a Finance team (Accounts Payable or Finance Administration / Assistant position)
* Any experience using Oracle system would be advantageous but not crucial
* Computer literate with basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
* Someone who can collaborate with colleagues and suppliers of all levels.
