Spinal Injury Support Worker (Waking Nights)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join the Libertatem Healthcare Group team in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire. The role involves supporting a client's transition to their own home and maintaining their health after. The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering 2:1 care 24/7, with the day shift covering 08:00 - 20:00.
Main duties of the job
The Spinal Injury Support Worker (Waking Nights) will be responsible for engaging with the client's personalized routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, monitoring health conditions, providing emotional support and companionship, and maintaining accurate records of care. They will collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Engaging with personalized routines
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.

Pay Rate: £15 - £17 per hour
Working Hours: You will be a part of a team delivering 2:1 care 24/7. The day shift will cover 08:00 – 20:00.
