Senior Finance Analyst - Engineering & Transportation Business 6 Month Contract Day Rate: £400 - £500 This is a fantastic opportunity to join aleading engineering and transportation businesswith a great reputation across the UK. We are looking for awell-rounded FP&A professionalwith a solid understanding of thethree key financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. To succeed in this role, you must haveexperience in cash flow and balance sheet analysis, as you will be leading forecasting for both. A strong CAPEX backgroundis essential, along withsound knowledge of IFRS 16. Role: Develop and maintain a weekly 12-month rolling direct cash flow forecast model and process. Create and manage a working capital and balance sheet model for planning and forecasting. Provide monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and cashflow Provide insightful analysis on cash flow and working capital movements, and report any changes Develop reporting and analysis of CapEx, with a strong focus on electrification of Bus fleet and electrical Infrastructure, Land & Buildings, Refurb and Plant & Equipment to name a few Work closely with Asset Accountant on Bus financing, providing scenario analysis on capitalising vs. leasing of our Buses Ownership of IFRS16 leasing and rolling stock depreciation of all Buses for 3Y CP and forecast EV contract maintenance costs to feed into planning Lead improvements in TM1 data hygiene and work across the FP&A and management accounts teams. Collaborate with Management Accounts to analyse period-end performance at the company, garage, and route levels against forecast and budget. Provide variance analysis and simple narratives to explain period results, identifying and following up on specific issues, proposing corrective actions when necessary. Profile: Qualified Accountant Strong Power Query skills are highly desirable. Proven experience with cash flow and working capital management. Experience with IFRS 16 and IAS 17 (leases) is desirable. Experience delivering change and improving existing systems and processes. Experience in financial tendering, bids, and post-evaluation is advantageous.
