We are a family run construction and refurbishment company based in Rainham, Essex, we are looking to expand our team.
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable foreman to join our team to oversee the day-to-day operations at various sites. We work in London and the surrounding areas delivering projects covering all aspects of construction and refurbishment.
You will be responsible for visiting and overseeing various projects, organising resources ensuring all work meet the required quality, programme and safety standards. You will need to have a very good knowledge of the construction industry and refurbishment projects as you will be overseeing all trades. This role will require you to build relationships with clients and contractors, whilst ensuring projects are run safely, efficiently and productively to the highest of standards. When needed you will be required to offer solutions to on site issues and liaise with the contracts managers and surveyors to provide operational support. A company van will be provided and a full UK driver’s license is essential.

Responsibilities as a foreman:
Providing construction knowledge and guidance when required.
Good writing skills for site record keeping.
Good problem solving
Reporting daily back to Project Manager/Company Director
Attending weekly progress meetings and safety meetings.
Maintaining health and safety standards on sites and carry out inductions.
Organising and liaising with sub-contractors, suppliers and plant hire.
Checking quality and standards of workmanship being carried out by
Check and record labour outputs against time sheets.
Ensure sub-contracted labour meets required standards.
Carry out and record toolbox talks to labour and sub-contractors
Manage construction sites, ensuring that all workers adhere to construction plans and safety targets.
Required
Must have a trade qualification
At least 5 years experience managing sites.
Must be able to read drawings
Good communication skills to communicate with both clients and management
Construction knowledge and background.
CSCS card
SSSTS (Site supervisor safety training scheme) (Essential) or SMSTS
First aid
Asbestos Awareness Certificate
Full UK driver’s licence
DBS check required upon successful application.

Salary: £46,800.00
