Phoenix Instinct is at the forefront of assistive technology wheelchair innovation, developing advanced mobility solutions that incorporate cutting-edge materials and design. We are seeking a talented Design and Manufacturing Engineer to join our dedicated team and drive the optimisation of our manufacturing processes.
Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, improving, and scaling our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
This is a hands-on role; the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in 3D CAD, ideally familiar with Fusion 360, along with an ability to lead and problem-solve within a small, high-performing team. Experience with prepreg composite manufacturing is highly desirable, but training will be provided where necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally Fusion 360.
* Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement methodologies.
* Ability to problem-solve and innovate in a hands-on production environment.
* Experience in leading or supervising within a small team.
* Experience with prepreg composite manufacturing (training available).
* Familiarity with 3D printing and advanced manufacturing technologies.
* Knowledge of resource optimisation and lean manufacturing principles.
