Minimum 1-year experience is required ? Passion for making a difference to individuals in their own homes ? Ability to prioritize workloads ? Reliable and flexible ? You must have excellent communications skills and the ability to build relationships with those we support and those around them ? Ability to be patient and keep calm under pressure ? Due to nature of the job, driving is essential for this role ? A caring nature and passion to make a real difference to someones life ? Ability to work as part of a team supporting each other when necessary ? Flexibility, reliability, hard work and honesty. Role and Responsibilities: ? Personal care: assist with personal hygiene, dressing, assistance with using the toilet, assistance with incontinence inc. pads, commodes, and catheter bags ? Support with eating and drinking: ensuring that clients are encouraged to eat a healthy, balanced diet in the correct quantities, that prepared meals look appetizing and mealtimes are a pleasant experience, and safe, for the client ? Assisting with shopping: this is completed at the clients request and a finance form with a receipt must be completed ? Assist with mobility: use of a hoist or other aids, assistance in standing and movement ? Dressing or assisting with any physical activity whereby the clients needs support ? Companionship care ? Building relationships with clients, their families, and friends ? Food preparation ? Housekeeping/ light domestic duties ? Support with medication ? Taking clients for appointments or outings ? Shopping or ordering food deliveries ? Laundry and ironing ? Engage with clients pastimes and hobbies ?
