We are an RCVS accredited practice, ISFM silver friendly cat clinic, approved graduate and nurse training practice and working towards Fear-free clinic status.
We are based in the lovely village setting of Willingham, just outside the city of Cambridge with easy links to London and across the South-East. Willingham is a vibrant community and there are lots of amenities in the village itself but Cambridge is close by for more varied activities such as shopping, punting, picnics in the park, theatre, cinema etc.
The Role
* A Full or Part-time position in a single site independent small animal practice
* 2-4 day working week with flexible working hours and 1/3 Saturday mornings
* Working in a brand-new modern facility with all the latest equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound and lab plus dental suite and separate dog and cat waiting areas, consulting rooms and kennels
* A practice with emphasis placed on providing outstanding patient care and an excellent client experience and not on financial targets (proven by our 5* google reviews)
* Chance to be part of a friendly, welcoming and highly experienced team in a supportive workplace environment working with another 1.5 Vets, 3RVNS, 1SVN, 2 receptionists and a practice manager
* An interesting and varied caseload with a mixture of consulting and operating and allocated time for admin
* Extended consulting slots to ensure time to work cases up fully
* Lovely clients with the majority being insured
* Clinical freedom and development of individual interests encouraged

What we’re looking for
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
* Previous experience in small animal practice preferred but not essential
* Compassionate and empathetic individual
* Excellent communication skills with a client orientated approach
* Ability to work to the highest standards
* Competent in management of all routine medical and surgical cases
* Personable with the ability to work well as part of a team and the desire to build strong relationships with colleagues
* Enthusiasm to help grow and develop the practice
* A keen interest in behaviour and the fear-free way of working to reduce patient stress and promote positive vet visits
The Package
* A competitive salary of £35,000 - £65,000 (pro-rata) dependent on experience
