An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the role as Service Improvement & Development Partner. Working within the Strategy and Partnerships Team, as a senior leader, you will work across the Trust and divisional priorities and objectives to support the integration and delivery of services to help achieve the Trusts strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Programme Delivery and Assurance, the post holder will be pivotal in providing leadership to the delivery of a range of high priority service improvement and transformation projects and business development programmes across the organisation all linked to the delivery of the Trusts Strategic Objectives.
We are looking for an individual with knowledge, experience, passion and interest for service development and improvement. Your range of experience may include clinical, project management, service improvement and development skills.
Main duties of the job
Your role will encompass fulfilling priorities and objectives within the Trust/Divisional annual plans, with a particular focus on project management, quality improvement, business and service development and reporting. You will manage a suite of projects across its workstreams, including through enabling programmes and collaboration with programme colleagues. You will ensure projects are effectively reported into relevant programme governance, and key stakeholders, as required. To do this, you will have to develop strong and effective relationships with colleagues across the Trust, and externally. You will ensure the projects you are responsible for are connected and aligned to programme objectives and principles. You will need to ensure that stakeholder engagement, liaison and co-production are a key part of delivery.
In partnership with Trust and Divisional colleagues, to constantly review and improve the service(s), taking into account local and national guidelines and guidance from professional leads.
To ensure that effective strategies are in place for the Services and that key elements of the service are joined up within Divisional/Trust annual plans.
You will be expected to work as part of a cohesive team and, when necessary, to take lead responsibility for divisional issues outside their immediate sphere of responsibility.

Person Specification
Qualifications / training
* Degree level education or equivalent experience
* Evidence of continuous personal development including project and programme management
Experience
* Extensive experience in process-mapping and leading service improvement/ development
* Significant experience in project and or programme management roles
* Experience of preparing Board level reports
* Experience of line management
Skills/knowledge
* Ability to interpret complex data from multiple sources
* Ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with executive level stakeholders, clinicians and other operational leads
* Excellent written communication skills; able to write clearly and concisely, producing reports, bid responses and business cases
* Excellent oral communication, presentation and negotiating skills and is confident presenting to large groups and is able to handle challenge from senior specialist professionals
* Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
* Excellent organisation skills, ability to work under own initiative without frequent supervision
* Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
