You will be working within the Procurement Excellence & Sustainability discipline supporting the business and will work closely with wider Procurement and Commercial Teams. The Specialist, reporting to the Process & Systems Manager, is responsible for: Creating and updating/managing purchase orders across all categories and subcategories of spend Maintaining the procurement contract database Providing first line support to outsourced Procurement Services team members, both from a process & system delivery perspective Supporting stakeholders with requests of goods/services not within our catalogue and constructively challenging where appropriate/necessary Answering and managing incoming calls Document processing, record keeping, maintenance of information and databases, dealing with correspondence, preparing documents and reports Maintaining and managing filing systems both electronic and paper Update spreadsheets, databases and Procurement systems Manage other procurement mechanisms that enable the P2P process (e.g. P-Card) About You We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with a passion for service and a commercial mind-set. Self-motivation, adaptability and resilience are also important qualities for this role, as well as being a team player. Solid Microsoft Office skills and strong numerical and data analysis skills are required. Experience in SAP SRM or other Procurement purchasing systems would be advantageous. Maths & English at GCSE A-C/4 is essential for this role. Studying CIPs or an interest in CIPs qualifications is preferred but not essential. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
