At AWS, we’re hiring highly technical DevOps Consultants to collaborate with our customers and partners on key customer engagements. You will apply your deep technical expertise to solve complex customer challenges and develop cloud-based solutions at scale. You will guide customers through transforming their business with the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.
You will join as part of the AWS Professional Services (ProServe) Associate to Consultant (A2C) practice, which focuses on the accelerated career development of university graduates and early career professionals. Our team members work with enterprise customers locally, regionally, domestically, and internationally. As such, this role has up to 100% travel associated. This role will be expected to work from customer sites throughout the UK, in particular the greater London area and Kent.
Key job responsibilities
The DevOps Consultant is an emerging leader with previous experience in a DevOps role. The DevOps Consultant will assist on projects. The ideal candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. The DevOps Consultant is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.
About the team
AWS ProServe engages in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about customer success. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered, and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
You will also have the opportunity to create white papers, write blogs, build demos and other reusable collateral that can be used by our customers. Most importantly, you will work closely with our Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications
1. 2+ years of professional or military experience, with hands-on programming skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++.
2. Experience with cloud-native technologies, including Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform), CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), and microservices architecture (e.g., containers, Kubernetes, serverless).
3. Strong technical communication skills and experience with Agile software development practices.
4. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5. AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, or Developer Associate.
6. Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
7. Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Kibana).
8. Expertise in implementing and designing cloud-native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
