We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to lead a diverse portfolio, providing both estate management and professional consultancy advice on portfolios with a national footprint.
The role will be based out of our Birmingham office; however, due to the nature of the portfolio, the successful candidate will be required to travel. As an employer, we also encourage flexible working.
Main tasks:
* Manage a team of surveyors and oversee the day-to-day management of rural portfolios.
* Provide professional consultancy advice on rural and land management.
* Ensure the effective management and delivery of services to meet individual client requirements.
* Undertake Red Book Valuations and Market Appraisals.
* Provide strategic advice in relation to disposals.
* Motivate and inspire team members, fostering collaboration and accountability to create a productive work environment.
* Establish and maintain close working relationships with the Clients, building trust, collaboration, and confidence.
* Set clear objectives, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure each team member is aligned.
* Communicate expectations, set deadlines, goals, and provide regular feedback to the team, actively resolving any concerns or issues.
* Recognise and reward good performance, provide feedback, and encourage professional development and provide opportunities for training and growth.
* Assist with hiring, inducting, training, and continuous monitoring of employees.
* Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Support and guide team members to ensure they manage their portfolios effectively and meet their individual targets, contractual SLA’s, and KPI’s.

What will it take to be successful?
We are looking for applicants who ideally have MRICS, AssocRICS, or MARLA qualifications and possess extensive experience in land management. Previous experience of managing a team and strong leadership and proven line management skills are essential. Strong experience of dealing with clients, stakeholders, and contractors alongside experience of working in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and flexibility are essential. You will be highly organised, with good time management skills and possess a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook. A Full Driving license is essential.
