Role Overview As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to maintaining accreditations, resolving quality issues, and supporting new product introductions (NPI). Key Responsibilities Uphold and maintain AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards. Work collaboratively to meet external accreditation requirements. Ensure the release of conforming products, supported by Certificates of Conformance. Perform internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement activities. Assist in new product introductions and failure investigations. Support and mentor apprentices and trainees in line with company standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment to prevent contamination or defects. Participate in customer audits and act as a key point of contact for quality-related queries. Champion a 'right-first-time' culture across the organisation. Experience and Skills Required At least three years’ experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in the aerospace sector. Familiarity with aerospace quality systems such as AS9100 and NADCAP. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Practical experience using inspection tools, including callipers, micrometres, and height gauges. Internal Auditor qualifications are advantageous. HNC/HND in a relevant discipline is preferred.
