New Job | Interim Finance Business Partner | 3 months initially | £450-£475 per day (inside IR35 | Coventry, Office based 3 days per week Morson is partnering with a prominent utilities company seeking a motivated and engaging Finance Business Partner to drive performance improvement and provide robust insights into capital delivery programmes. You will support enhanced programme outcomes through thorough analysis and reporting, aligning financial and regulatory objectives. This role requires excellent technical accounting skills, strong leadership, and the ability to influence key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Business Partner : Partner with Capital Delivery Business Leads to ensure effective delivery of capital programmes through comprehensive analysis and challenge. Lead month-end reporting, provide regular forecasts and budgets, and present to leadership teams and approval bodies. Drive the Capital Delivery MI strategy, focusing on continuous improvement in reporting. Oversee robust forecasts for CAPEX, IRE, and OPEX, ensuring alignment with business targets. Analyse performance against targets, identify risks and opportunities, and work with delivery teams to maintain performance on track. Prepare and present capital reporting, providing strategic insights for decision-making. Enhance capital programme governance and support regulatory reporting for OFWAT. Support the Capital MI Analyst in initiatives to improve reporting processes. Requirements: Qualified Accountant. Demonstrable experience in performance analysis and improvement. Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to apply standards and liaise with auditors. Proficiency in understanding and linking complex data sets and translating findings into actionable insights. Advanced MS Office and SAP ECC & BI skills. Leadership and effective communication, both written and verbal. Commercial and financial awareness with the ability to influence at all levels. Full UK driving licence. Desirable : Familiarity with capital programme governance processes and AMP7 outcomes. Experience in delivering projects or programme management. Capabilities : Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex information for varied audiences. Proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence across different levels. Excellent organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
