An SEN Teaching Assistant is needed for a good primary school with SEN unit attachment in the Jarrow area of South Tyneside. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will require you would work with children with ASD and SEMH.
Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage but is not essential - a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for. If you have experience as a support worker in a residential care environment we would be keen for you to apply.
To be successful, the SEN Teaching Assistant candidate must :
* have experience in supporting pupils with SEN needs
* have experience in working with ASD/ADHD and other SEN needs
* hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Ideally you will hold a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above. Posts vary from short term to long term.
In addition, you must:
• Provide two referees we can contact
• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
