The Contract Manager will join the Contract Management team which is responsible for providing expert specialist contract management provision and advice in the support of the Procurement function in the development and implementation of the ICS’s procurement strategy.
The post holder will support the Associate Director of Contract Management in influencing senior stakeholders.
They will ensure that the procurement and contract management strategy is understood, and that effective support is achieved for a successful implementation.
The post holder will be directly involved in identifying contracted and non-contracted spend, supporting the procurement team in developing suitable contracts with key measurables, liaising with key stakeholders on contract management best practice, identifying areas of improvement.
The hours of this post are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
The Post holder will be a key member of the Procurement team reporting to the Associate Director of Contract Management on a day-to-day basis.
The post holder will support the delivery of the overall aims and objectives of the Procurement department and those of the Contract Management Team specifically by undertaking a range of functions, including:
Review and support the management of Contracts in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and legal requirements.
The Post holder will provide advice, analysis and support on l issues relating to the delivery, monitoring & review of all such Contracts.
The post holder will recommend strategies in dealing with specific contractual issues.
The post holder will provide data processing (in line with contract KPIs.

They will provide analysis, undertake contract reviews, work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to provide expert specialist contract management and advice in the support of the Procurement function.
This will involve working with senior Trusts’ managers and clinicians to ensure that the strategy is understood.
The post holder will support the development and promotion of contract management.
This includes direct involvement in identifying contracted and non-contracted spend, supporting the procurement team in developing suitable contracts with key measurables, liaising with key stakeholders on contract management best practice, identifying areas of improvement and compiling and implementing a contract management policy.
