The aim of the role is to provide leadership for the nursing and care staff within Streets Meadow whilst supporting the development and delivery of consistently high-quality clinical and care services for residents with complex health and social care needs.
The Role
The Clinical Lead will ensure that Streets Meadow:
1. Complies with the clinical governance framework and all activities related to it, including participation in the clinical audit programme.
2. Maintains colleagues’ skills and knowledge and ensures that care is delivered according to the latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
3. Develops monitoring and reporting systems which promote the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality services.
4. Ensures that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used by staff.
5. Acts as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership and support for clinical and care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
2. Provide effective leadership and support for the nursing and care team within the home.
3. Complete audits as per timeframe on a weekly/monthly basis.
4. Complete weekly clinical meetings and cascade this information to the Registered Manager for action.
5. Ensure all assessments and needs are completed by all colleagues to ensure required compliance is achieved.
6. Demand high-quality service delivery focused on residents' individually assessed needs.
7. Undertake assessments for new admissions as required to support occupancy within the home.
8. Undertake regular training required to fulfil the role to a high standard.
9. Adhere to our policies, procedures, and standards as published.

Person Specification
Must Haves:
1. At least 5 years post-registration experience in Nursing Home or Community environment.
2. ENB 998 or equivalent.
3. Experience in wound care, dementia care, and end-of-life management and planning; venesection would be an advantage but is not essential.
4. Evidence of managing large teams, rota provision, and transformational change.
5. Knowledge and application of relevant legislation e.g., Care Standards Act 2000, Community Care Act 1991.
6. Knowledge of the risk assessment process.
7. Knowledge of care and support planning processes.
8. Demonstrable supervisory/management experience.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
10. Ability to plan, organise, and monitor own work.
11. Flexible approach to hours and work.
12. Commitment to the achievement of quality standards.
Good to Have:
1. Experience of undertaking full clinical patient assessments.
2. Experience of working with more than one client group.
3. Ability to contribute to service development.
4. Substantial knowledge acquired in a similar or related setting.
5. Full driving licence.
