Our Newport Supported Housing Accommodation is looking for a positive, engaging, and passionate individual to join its team as a Project Worker working with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, children/adolescents, and families. What is great about the role? At Clifton Place, you would be working with a diverse group of people, ranging from families, young people, pregnant women, individuals with physical disabilities, mental health issues, substance misuse, and individuals who have been trafficked from the other side of the world. Every day is different, and you would learn new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies such as social services, health visitors, and community nurses. As a Pobl Difference Maker, you really are part of something special where you and your opinions matter. Day to Day Duties: To work proactively and engage with individuals and families who are perceived to be ‘hard to reach’ using positive but persistent and assertive approaches to gain trust and bring about positive changes to improve outcomes, ensuring they can sustain their tenancy. As a Project Worker, you will lead each shift by delivering support to the individuals at the service, managing the scheme, and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers. Your day will consist of: Engaging and interacting with our service users. Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting. Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing. Liaising with external agencies. Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have. Our aim is to equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role, and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and physical disabilities. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours, so you will need to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse clientele.
