Forsyths Ltd is the fabrication arm of the Forsyth Group based in the North East of Scotland.
This role is ideally suited to a school leaver who is keen to develop their knowledge, skills and competencies with the aim to becoming a Storeperson or Buyer and support the business by effectively processing and managing stock and materials in accordance with Company procedures to meet demand.
Responsibilities
* To receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
* Assist when required with the physical movement of stock from the Goods In and Out areas.
* Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
* The continuous audit of all stock by periodic cycle counting.
* Responsible for the security, control, and movement of raw material stock.
* Undertake problem solving and other tasks as directed by the Storeperson and Buyer.
* Loading/unloading truck and moving stock using a forklift.
* Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices.
* Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase.
* Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing.
* Operate in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedure, and other related company policies.
Person Specification
* Good analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Good organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Valid UK driving license preferred but not essential.
Qualifications
* NAT 5 English and Maths or equivalent preferred.
