A great opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a high-quality consultancy specialising in a range of construction industry sectors, focusing on Retail.
Job Description:
1. Planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of roads and car parks to ensure safe and cost-effective transportation of people and goods for a varying client base.
2. Overseeing all areas of development, from inception to delivery, of various construction and retail-related projects around the UK.
3. Managing all aspects of the project from start to finish; ensuring all work aligns with pre-determined goals and objectives while meeting client requirements.
4. Communicating across all levels of management to develop and establish a brief for the project that clearly defines all objectives.
5. Setting measurable objectives and timelines within the projects; managing other consultant disciplines and contractors to ensure delivery to cost, time, and quality standards.
6. Maintaining records and work folders, ensuring all work is checked and appropriately approved for distribution.
7. Managing all retail construction and redevelopment projects in a live environment.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
1. Educated to degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management.
2. Full driving license and own car with the ability to travel within the UK.
3. CSCS card - Black/gold/white (or possess the qualifications to achieve).
4. Knowledge of highway design standards.
5. Experience using AutoCAD.
6. Ability to read and understand 2D drawings.
7. Construction project management experience.
8. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. Excellent time management skills.
11. Pro-active and self-motivated.
12. Base understanding of CDM regulations.
13. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
14. Presentation and reporting skills.
15. Experience working with retail clients and managing retail construction or redevelopment.
16. SMSTS certification.
17. CDM awareness training.
18. Asbestos awareness training.
19. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation.
20. CAD skills and ability to collaborate with other engineers to undertake all technical aspects required for project delivery.

1. £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
