Job Title: Production Planner
This role will report to the Logistics and Planning Manager.
Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Location: This role will be based at Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim with travel to other sites on an adhoc basis.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to oversee and optimise our manufacturing schedules and processes. The successful candidate will ensure production operations align with customer demands, inventory targets, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comply and engage with Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures to deliver a safety-first culture.
2. Efficiently run and maintain daily production plans and schedules to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled, meeting OTIF targets.
3. Proactively communicate with stakeholders about any potential changes in production schedules.
4. Identify potential delays in the production cycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, ensuring minimal disruption to delivery timelines.
5. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure raw materials are available to meet production needs.
6. Collaborate closely with commercial and operations teams to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of product.
7. Coordinate with the Warehousing Manager to ensure finished goods are available to meet OTIF targets whilst maintaining stockholding targets.
8. Work closely with the logistics team to understand delivery deadlines and prioritise orders accordingly to ensure commitments are met.
9. Use ERP systems and data to analyse performance, identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
10. Track and report metrics, identifying gaps and taking proactive measures to propose and address potential shortfalls in delivery performance.
11. Compile daily Sales and Operational Status Reports using ERP and MS Excel.
12. Assist with holiday cover of other duties within the Supply Chain Department as required (and trained) e.g. Transport Planning.
13. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience, processes, efficiencies and reduce cost.
14. Act as an ambassador for our company values and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
15. Any other duties as required by management.
Criteria
Essential
1. Educated to at least GCSE level.
2. 2+ Years Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
4. Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems in production planning and inventory control.
Desirable
1. CSCP Qualification.
2. Experience in using Navision ERP system.
3. Experience in using SAP ERP system.
4. Knowledge of Transport / Logistics Planning.

1. Strong understanding of the importance of aligning production activities to achieve KPI's.
2. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet customer requirements, ensuring OTIF delivery metrics are consistently achieved.
3. Excellent attention to detail, planning and prioritisation capability.
4. Ability to constructively challenge to achieve optimum outcomes.
5. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve scheduling conflicts or production bottlenecks.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
8. Ability to make data-driven decisions.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
