We are looking for empathetic and energetic people to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time, SEN Teaching role!

We are looking for SEN Teachers who want to assist children aged 3 to 19 with their progression, to make a positive difference in their lives. You will be working closely with families, therapists, wellbeing practitioners, and outside agencies to embed teaching outcomes and interventions into meaningful, functional activities within the home and school environment.
The school works closely with NHS nurses and NHS therapists. You will be supporting children and young adults to reach their full potential through a variety of different methods such as their sensory development and learning life skills. The Role:
The Ideal Candidate will have:
1. Child Care Experience - Through personal or professional experience.
2. Special needs experience - Experience through family, friends, or professional environments.
3. QTS or QTLS
4. EYFS Teaching Experience.
5. Great interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring attitude.
6. Flexibility with required working patterns.
7. A willingness to learn and have a genuine enthusiasm to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing additional training to upskill the team/parent for them to continue supporting the development of new skills in the learner/group of learners.
2. Offer support for the school's students before, during, and after their lessons.
3. Help promote each student's love of learning.
4. Inspiring and engaging with children with a wide range of additional learning needs.
5. The development and use of highly specialist teaching and therapeutic interventions primarily focused on increasing feelings of safety within the learner, developing trusting relationships with adults, and improving their capacity to engage and participate in learning across contexts.
6. Well-being support to improve well-being and reduce the learner's anxiety & stress, reduce risks to the learner and/or those around them.
7. Working closely in collaboration with the family and within a wider multi-agency team.
As an agency worker, you are only paid for the days you have worked. Therefore, you will not be paid during the school holidays.
