We are looking for an experienced Foreman / Site Supervisor to join our team on a Civils and Deep Drainage project in Central London. This role is integral to the successful delivery of a utilities-focused project, requiring a hands-on leader with a strong background in civil engineering and drainage works.
About the Role
As the Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, manage resources, and maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Site Management: Supervise all on-site activities, including utilities installation, deep drainage, and associated civils works.
* Leadership: Coordinate and manage site teams and subcontractors, fostering a productive and collaborative working environment.
* Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, ensuring all personnel comply with site rules and industry regulations.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all works are completed in line with project specifications and technical drawings.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, minimizing disruption to the project timeline.
* Progress Reporting: Monitor daily site activities and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A CSCS Gold Card (essential).
* A Confined Space Ticket (essential).
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential).
* Proven experience in civils, utilities, and deep drainage projects.
* A strong understanding of technical drawings and site documentation.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
