The Position
The D&B Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager has demonstrated the basic core skills and personal values to be a success at BW. They will provide much needed support to the team whilst developing their own skills and experience as part of their career progression.
Job Scope
* Significant management experience in construction industry working on commercial fit out projects up to £6m
* Previous experience of successfully carrying out a similar role with a Fit-out contractor to a high quality
* Maintain a professional and productive working relationship with sub-contractor management and operatives and notify Line Manager regarding any issues
* Develop, monitor and control the strategic and detailed construction programming for the project
* Attend all project meetings and action items identified within the minutes as necessary
* Contribute to the production of Progress Reports
* Manage the RFI, CVI, Information Required, and technical submittal processes and procedures for the project
* Continually review and manage sub-contractor resources at a suitable level to meet the demands of the project
* Carry out daily snagging inspection walk rounds, snagging sheets issued weekly by each sub-contractor at weekly coordination meeting.
* Hold regular sub-contractor coordination meetings on a weekly basis, issuing minutes of the meeting to all sub-contractors and BW team members. Check that the actions of previous meetings are effectively closed out.
* Assist the Commercial / Senior Commercial Manager in controlling the commercial risk of projects
* Work with the team to deliver Defect Free in its entirety on all projects
* Carry out a regular review of agreed prelims expenditure
* Issue corrective action notices as necessary to maintain subcontractor performance and on site standards and notify the Commercial Manager of any potential contra-charges.
* Take responsibility for site level health, safety and environmental management in accordance with the approved processes and procedures.
* Build long term client and professional team relationships based on the successful delivery of projects.
