JT Recruit are working in partnership with a local Authority in Derby who are looking to appoint two temporary call handler / responders to join the team.
The team is a 24-hour emergency TSA accredited monitoring and response service ensuring that vulnerable people have access to support at the end of the phone or at the touch of a button whenever they need it. You will provide professional call handling services and an appropriate level of assistance to all of its customers that have telecare alarms installed in their own homes.
This service supports people who wish to remain living independently for as long as they can. It also brings reassurance to users by ensuring safety within the home. Customers activate a support call at any time 24/7 via the alarm unit installed in their own home and or the sensors attached to it.
The Call Handler Responders will then discuss and assess the nature of the emergency and will action an appropriate response. Responding themselves if required. In the case of a serious emergency, the emergency services will also be contacted.
We have two temporary positions for Call handler Responders to work night shift only.
As part of the Carelink team the candidates will be expected to undertake the following duties
• call handling services
• responding to emergency situations including lifting uninjured customers using specialist equipment provided. (Full training provided)
• carrying out safe and well checks to support vulnerable people living in the community.
• installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customer’s homes
Due to the nature of the role some parts of the shift will be office based and other parts will require to respond to customers in their own homes during the night.
The candidate will be working • x 5 7.24 hour shifts with a 36-minute unpaid break on a rolling rota basis including weekends and bank holidays
You will be expected to on a rota basis 23.00hrs – 07.00hrs Hours are 37 per week Based at the Gatehouse Kedleston Road Derby (On-site parking available) Full training will be given.
All candidates must hold a full manual driving license and have access to a car for work purposes for which mileage will be paid
