SEMH Learning Support Assistants
A secondary alternative provision in Burnley is looking for two learning support assistants.
The roles
As a learning support assistant working with young people with SEMH (Social, emotional, and mental health) additional needs, you will be required to follow EHC plans while supporting the class teacher in general classroom duties. As the young people require additional support for SEMH difficulties, they can display challenging behaviour, so you will need to be able to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and professional manner throughout, always putting the needs of the pupil first. You will need to be able to travel to Burnley and be available on a full-time basis Monday-Friday.
* Monday – Friday, full-time hours (8.30am-3.30pm)
* Competitive rates of hourly pay £12.90 - £13.30
* Working with young adults aged 10-19 years with SEMH, challenging behavioural additional needs
* Start date: ASAP
