NHS Golden Jubilee is delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist with experience in the field of clinical health psychology to join our team and contribute to the high-quality care provided across the specialist national services hosted at this site: Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service; Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service; and Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team and provide a key role in implementing our support offer across these services. You will work closely with existing members of the team, providing and facilitating support in line with the local Psychology strategy. You will be joining an established team, who contribute to MDT clinical care in advanced heart failure and transplant, adult congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, and intensive care. The team is led and supported by a consultant clinical psychologist/head of service who will provide the successful post holders with necessary support. Ongoing developments within the team will provide a great opportunity for the consolidation and development of your skills as a clinical psychologist working in physical health.
A background of MDT working is essential, as is a keen interest for working in the specific clinical area. Relevant experience of assisting in MDT debriefs, staff training and other staff support activities will be an advantage. The successful applicant will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, an excellent professional attitude, and relevant clinical experience. Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC, registration with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist and training in clinical supervision are all essential. Applicants seeking flexible working arrangements are welcome.
