What you’ll be doing This role will see you working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and the environment. As a Senior Tutor, you will also provide effective leadership, support, and guidance to our other team members. Your day to day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind. When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of working in a busy education centre. Where you’ll be based This role is predominantly based at Beckenham Place Park. We work in partnership with work together with London Borough of Lewisham to deliver education services within Beckenham Place Park. The Homestead Education Centre is in the 18th Century stable block. It has two classrooms, which can accommodate up to 60 learners and has easy access to many field sites across the park. Please note that this role is part of the wider Epping Forest and London Education team and therefore you will on occasions be required to deliver courses at the Epping Forest Field Studies Centre or one of our other Field Sites in London. Who we’re looking for You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of teaching or tutoring. You will also be confident with producing and preparing various learning resources.
