We are currently looking to recruit a HSE Site Manager on a Permanent basis to join the team covering windfarms across the UK & Ireland.
How can you make a difference?
This role will support our Project and Site Managers with site planning, preparation and execution of new and existing projects and manage all aspects of safety, and environmental requirements at the Wind Farm Site.
You will undertake site inspections and audits to monitor site activities and support and educate teams to increase Health and safety knowledge across Nordex.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Guiding supervisors and leaders, regarding legal safety requirements and corporate procedures established by the company, encouraging colleagues as to the correct use of individual and collective protective equipment.
2. Following safety guidelines, giving safety orientations, and checking compliance with internal procedures like contractual determinations regarding regulatory requirements.
3. Investigation and preparation of official reports and internal communications about incidents that have occurred, proposing corrective measures in order to eliminate causes and monitoring agreed actions to completion.
4. Leading on site HSE meetings.
5. Undertaking PC/PSCS co-ordination where the contractual requirement of the project requires.
6. Supporting with the development of new processes that have been identified to improve Nordex standards.
7. Leading the development and delivery of the project HSE day(s), ensuring successful delivery of required project needs.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have significant experience of HSE management in a construction environment, preferably within the wind industry and hold a Health and Safety qualification (preferably Level 6) but other level qualifications will be considered.
You will have experience of working in a similar role and have strong practical experience of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, which includes an understanding of heavy lifting operations and working safety at heights.
You will have the ability to learn quickly about all aspects of wind farms including the technology of wind turbines and the Nordex way of working. You’ll need to have a good head for heights and be capable of passing a medical to ensure you can do this role safely.

Please note the successful candidate will work on a 3 weeks on and 1 week off rotation and you will spend the majority of your time on site which could be at any location in the UK or Ireland.
