About the Role
As a Senior Practitioner within one of the five Duty Teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families. The work is fast-paced and varied, with a clear focus on strengths-based practice to drive positive change.
The Duty Service handles cases of varying complexity, with key case transfer points including:
1. Initial Child Protection Conference
2. First CLA Review
3. First PLO Meeting
4. Third CIN Meeting
You will only be on duty once every 5 weeks, allowing time to focus on high-quality case management and impactful interventions.
What Wigan are looking for:
1. Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
2. Proven experience in children's social work
3. Strong knowledge of statutory processes and safeguarding
4. Commitment to supporting and mentoring colleagues
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced duty environment
